Happy 2014: Auld Lang Syne

Sex and the City shows us the beauty of friendship in this new year's eve scene, which communicates the essence of the Auld Lang Syne soundtrack in the clip below:

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne
?

Auld Lang Syne was orignally a poem by Scottish poet Robert Burns, which formed the basis of the song now often sung during New Year, farewells, funerals, and graduations. According to Wikipedia, the song begins by "posing a rhetorical question as to whether it is right that old times be forgotten, and is generally interpreted as a call to remember long-standing friendships."

Sometimes, no matter how busy you think you might be, it might mean the world to someone - if you just took a moment in your day to let them know - you're not forgotten.

Wherever you are, I truly hope you're having a happy new year.
