The French fashion house is collaborating with American teenage photographer and blogger, Olivia Bee for their autumn/winter 2012 issue of in-house magazine Le Monde d’Hermès.
Since its creation in 1973, Le Monde d’Hermès, the house
magazine, has offered readers a journey to the heart of the creations of
the 24, faubourg Saint-Honoré house. Hermès' know-how, culture and
imagination is revealed through an ever-changing host of collaborating
artists, writers and photographers.
Olivia shows her own take on the Hermès scarf in a fairy tale world. Inspired by Hermès silk, the scarves are transformed into giant bows on the heads of pink-haired punk fairies, a uni-horn for her horse or a silk kerchief for a thoroughly modern day Prince.
Word is, Hermès loved the story so much it became the cover and a short film was commissioned.
Le Monde d’Hermès will be available from September 2012 in all Hermès boutiques.
