AFF Closes Spectacularly with Roberto Cavalli

Italian designer Roberto Cavalli closed the end of the Audi Fashion Festival spectacularly. The show had 2 parts to it, which was great. He showed his Fall/Winter 2010 collection and some vintage pieces.

My Roberto Cavalli VIP invitation :)

and.... the best part of my invite was that I got to go BACKSTAGE!!!

It was a crazy mess. I couldn't get photos of the models because they were changing at the racks.
The backstage assistant holding up a Roberto Cavalli dress that Victoria Beckham wore.

The guy who lead me backstage was really nice, I think photography wasn't allowed actually, but he didn't mind me taking photos at all.

Fall/Winter 2010

I guess the theme was kind of a gypsy-lost wanderer? There was an image of a desert as the backdrop.

Moving on to shinier things....

Roberto Cavalli totally SHUT. IT. DOWN. The audience erupted into applause right after the show and he recieved a standing ovation.

He also recieved an award for Audi Fashion Festival 2010 Visionary from renowned journalist, Colin McDowell.

With Denise Keller. She is crazy beautiful in person and amazingly nice.

Spotted some models going like, "What should I say!?" and looking generally very confused. Probably filming a short take for Fashion TV?

  1. I love the first half of Cavalli's show! :)

  2. I know, I adored it! The layering worked so well, the theme, everything. It was all perfection! You have a great blog as well :)
